South Australian Makers Incorporated (SA Makers) is a not for profit organisation that exists to provide opportunities for and to promote makers and making in South Australia.
Maker Faire Adelaide is independently organised and operated under license from Maker Media, Inc by SA Makers. Proceeds from Maker Faire Adelaide are used to support MakerSpace Adelaide, a volunteer run community Hub providing low cost access to digital fabrication equipment such as 3D printers and a laser cutter. Woodworking workshop which includes a CNC, Metalworking, Sewing, Electronics and more.
SA Makers want Maker Faire Adelaide to become South Australia’s foremost event to showcase the talent, skills and creativity of local designers, makers and inventors.

Offering science incursions since 2006, MSE has since grown steadily with shows, programs and professional development presented to over 74,900 students and teachers so far across South Australia, as well as over 17,700 more as a part of public events.
MakerSpace Adelaide is a community space workshop offering digital fabrication on a personal scale, in which new products and creative works can be made. The Lab is equipped with an array of flexible computer-controlled tools including 3D printers, a laser cutter and a cnc milling machine. The space has woodworking and metalworking workshops, an elctronics room, sewing room, media room and more.
Institute of Backyard Studies
The Institute of Backyard Studies fosters the growth of resourcefulness, open-ended enquiry and invention across the backyards and sheds of the world. They value creative resourcefulness and the use of wits beyond rubies. The answer to most things is in our own backyard.
